Mission statement
Watershed LLC is dedicated to helping customers reduce their water and energy use and improve their impact on the landscape and stormwater  through customized audits, cost and savings analysis, project development and management, research, demonstration, training, and some installation work.

Services Offered by Watershed

• Commercial and residential resource efficiency audits, analysis, equipment and operations recommendations, and inspections.  
• We provide cutomized audits to find the energy savings measures for each home and business that are best matched to their budgets and interests.  In every home except the most completely upgraded, we can find energy saving projects that make sense to implement and provide very good returns on investment.  For example, air sealing identified through our blower door work can provide a 50% or greater annual return on investment. 
• We help customers find ways to save money on their residential landscape irrigation water use and stormwater control.  The water savings we find in residential and commercial landscapes averages 30% or more. 
  
  
• We work with customers to find cost effective ways to reduce commercial building water bills.  For example, in over 60 commercial building water surveys in the Seattle area we found an average of $15,000/year of cost effective water savings.  We helped a Western Washington hotel reduce their water bill by over $140,000/year when we discovered some hidden leaks.  In the last 5 years Mr. Laure has acheived a cumulative total of over $3.5 million/year in cost effective water, wastewater, stormwater, energy, labor, and material savings for his clients with his resource efficiency projects.

• We specify equipment choices and inspect installations of resource saving equipment to ensure it was installed properly.
  
  Commercial and residential project development, management and review
  
• We have worked with a number of utilities, developers, and non-profits to help them to develop resource efficiency programs.  We help clients choose resource efficiency equipment and maintenance programs to meet their financial goals.
  
  
• Drip irrigation design/installation and rain garden design/installation
• We have designed and installed drip irrigation systems for homeowners, schools, and housing developments. We have also designed and installed rain gardens and taught clases in rain garden installation.
  
  
• Program and technology research
• We researched the residential landscape irrigation audit programs of several utilities around the country and then used that information to develop new residential landscape irrigation audit programs for a number of utilities.  We have researched information on the safety of pesticides and fertilizers, interviewed farmers and gardeners about safe alternatives, and developed materials and classes to help guide consumers in the choice of environmentally safe alternatives.  We researched options for the design and insstallation of green roofs and installed a green roof based on that research.  That green roof has been performing really well for over 5 years.
  
  Curriculum development and training
  
• We developed and for 10 years taught an 8 hour program on water efficiency for commercial building operators.  We have made many presentations to engineers, architects, developers, and business owners on how to reduce resource  use in their facilities.  We have developed and presented several classes on residential water efficiency for homeowners.
